Vioraux is a Plutocracy, with a monarch. The title of the monarch is "Dauphin(e)" the e is used when the reigning monarch is female. The Dauphin(e) has total control and can override/implement any legislation. The Branch of government the Dauphin(e) is in, is called the First Estate.

The Directoire can be compared to the cabinet of the U.S. They each hold jurisdiction over a certain category. In addition to that, they vote on all laws before they reach the Dauphin(e). The Directors are un appointed/reappointed every four years. There is no limit on how many terms a Director can serve.

Under them is the Third Estate, which contains 60 democratically elected Senators. Senators hold the least amount of authority in the government. They can propose/vote on any legislation. Elections for Senators are held every six years. There is no limit on how many terms a Senator can serve.

The government is unitary, the Governors of the five departments are simply there to enforce the rules made at the federal level.

The power of the First Estate is vested in the Dauphine of Vioraux, who also acts as head of state and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. Platform:

The members of the Libertaire Party, challenge the cult of the omnipotent state and defend the rights of the individual. They emphasize individual liberty in personal and economic affairs, avoidance of "foreign entanglements" and military and economic intervention in other nations' affairs, and free trade and migration.

It calls for Constitutional limitations on government as well as the elimination of most province functions. They favor minimally regulated markets, a less powerful federal government, strong civil liberties, the liberalization of drug laws, separation of church and state, open immigration, non-interventionism and neutrality in diplomatic relations, free trade and free movement to all foreign countries, and a more representative republic. The party's position on abortion is that government should stay out of the matter and leave it to the individual, To this end, they advocate in favor of laissez-faire economics, and the elimination of government run welfare programs in favor of private sector nonprofits and encouraging personal responsibility

Droit (6 seats)

Platform:

The party's platform is generally based on Vienne conservatism, in contrast to the contemporary Vioraux liberalism of the rival Gauche. The Penchée Droit's conservatism involves supporting free market capitalism, limited government, strong national defense, opposing regulation and labor unions, and supporting socially conservative policies. The party is generally split on the issue of how to deal with illegal immigration. Many contemporary Penchée Droits voice support of strict constructionism, the judicial philosophy that the Constitution should be interpreted narrowly and as close to the original intent as is practicable rather than a more flexible "living Constitution" model.

Supporting a mixed economy and social justice. The party's philosophy of modern Vioraux liberalism advocates social and economic equality, along with the welfare state. It pursues a mixed economy by providing government intervention and regulation in the economy. These interventions, such as universal health care, labor unions, social programs, equal opportunity, consumer protection, and environmental protection, form the party's economic policy basis. They aim to create a social security like system and expand safety net programs, set a federal minimum wage, modernize and expand access to public education and provide universal preschool education, and expand the use of renewable energy and diminish the use of fossil fuels

Royal Rank Hierarchy

Constantin Antoinette

Grace Empyr

Order Of Succession

The only ranks associated with the monarchy are those of the royal family. Due to Vioraux being a plutocracy, the rest of the population falls into ranks based on their income, not government status.

The Dauphin(e) title is given to the monarch and their spouse. Below them is the Fils (Fille if female) de vioraux. This person is always the heir apparent. The last rank is the Petit-Fils (Fille if female) de Vioraux. This rank comprises of the rest of the family that has a legitimate claim to the throne.

These people are organized into further sub categories typically based on seniority. Once the crown passes onto to the Fils and they become Dauphin(e) the highest ranking Petit will be bumped up to Fils. Seniority is not always the deciding factor however. If the Dauphin(e) sees otherwise, they have the power to bump people ahead of others and can even change who the Fils is.

If the Dauphin(e) is married and passes away the spouse who up until now has no authority assumes the throne. Furthermore if this spouse marries again, their new spouse will not get the same perk and the Fils will take over if they die.
